Jordan Campbell

Last night NCAA, soon to be NFL football player Jordan Campbell asked me to do up a piece for him. This is what I came up with. The man is a machine seriously.
Here is a link to a video of him training.
A man Mountain. I don't really know alot about American foofball, so I don't know what team he is with at the moment so I opted for a white and grey "Training Jersey" but I have him in his red and yellow USC colours to.

Joe Mad's style was used for reference.

Holiday Commission

Here are a few more commissions. They are all Pantone sketches. First one was done for a girl who loves Jose Lopez's work on the batman. I guess I was just a cheap alternative to getting him to draw the image.
The others are just of Supergirl, I changed the costume to switch it up.

A Pantone sketch I worked up in photoshop. Characters belong to DC comics.

Superman Trailer

This was done for the laugh. I actually like how it turned out. It's funny what you can get away with when you stretch one pose out in animation.

New Styles

I haven't posted anything in ages due to work and College commitments. Today is the first free day I had so I broke out the intuos and got to work. I have been looking at the art of Phil Noto lately and it influenced/inspired me today. Here is what I came up with. As always comment and most of all Enjoy.

Jumpsuit Johnson

My good friend "Sparky Dowling" and I have become pretty jealous that we weren't alive in the 70's For all the cheesy "Blacksploitation" movies such as Dolemite, Superfly, Savage and my personal favourite Black Belt Jones. So I decided to do up a new poster for a film that we would love to see. I was playing around with styles when I did this piece and I used a style that jimmymcwicked uses. I like how it turned out. The black and white is my favourite.

As always let me know what you think.

I have been pretty busy with work and updating my 3d skills to Maya. Hence the lack of posts. I am still working on my art book "Sessions with Griff" so pick up a copy as soon as it comes out. I need to work on my page layouts and edits so these aren't final pages for the book but the images will be used within the book. Let me know what you think.

Be safe. Be seen.

Spray Painting

It's been awhile.

Ok so I did some stencil spray painting of these guys the other day, liked how it turned out so I brought it into PS and gave it a bit more attention and flavour. I like how it turned out. I have been using the dry brushes quite a bit lately so I had to throw them in there. Let me know what you guys think.

Ready, Set, Stay

Ok so I have been working on this for the past few weeks and I am happy with it. I wanted to do an action scene just to see if I could? I enjoyed doing it but I won't lie the colouring and the BG's broke my little heart. Let me know what you guys think.

Backity backgrounds

I hate doing backgrounds. I dont think I am any good at it, so it's no surprise that I don't do them very often but I guess I need to be pushing myself to do them so here is a quick look at what I am doing at the moment and some of the backgrounds that I am using.
Be safe and be seen.
