Nova

I went to New York Comic Con in October and while getting ready for the trip I worked on 2 sets of Samples.

Here are my Nova samples. 

With this little story I wrote, penciled, inked and coloured the short story.

I love drawing Nova and wanted to show a variation on story telling, drawing ability, action poses and well rounded work. 

I got some great feed back on these pages and am now hard at work, putting it into practice.

Nightwing Samples

I went to New York Comic Con in October and while getting ready for the trip I worked on 2 sets of Samples.

For these samples I worked off of a script for issue 75 titled "Judgement Day" written by Devin Grayson with art from Rick Leonardi. (He is one of my favourites and met him at the show. 

He gave me some great feedback) 

I will now put that feedback into my next set of samples and hopefully make the work even stronger

Batman Beyond

I loved Batman Beyond when I was growing up. Batman TAS was amazing but there was something about Beyond that just sucked me in. I love teen superheroes becoming the main character and having amazing adventures and being their own character, rather than the sidekick. Maybe that's why I still love the wise cracking younger hero to this day?!

I also love the comic covers that had the characters standing in a spot light. Covers like Batman with Robin issue 9 by Jack Burnley, issue 465 from Norm Breyfogle & Adrienne Roy. Or from Jim lee or Dan Mora or Doc Shaner etc.

So I figured I would give my own a go.

Generation X

Generation X is a fantastic comic series and one that hit me right as I was moving into my teenage years. Up to that point I was used to watching X-Men the animated series everyday after school. So by then I was ready for some new characters and an edgier take on mutants. 

I would love Marvel to do a new continuation of the original series. It would be fantastic. I, of course would do the covers!!!!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

TMNT was the first thing I can remember loving as a kid. I remember the cartoon and recording it after school. I have the original 4 song EP on record when I was really little. (I still have that actually) The Turtles have gotten better and better as I grew up. I loved all the versions of the show. I enjoy the movies and the comics are great.
Leo was always my favourite but as I grew up I realised I was more like Mikey.

Robotech Rick Hunter Cover #3

If you know me, you know I love giant Robots/Mech and fighter pilots. So I am beyond excited to share my second official cover for the new Rick Hunter Robotech series from Titan Comics. This series has all the things I love. As mentioned above. I was too young when the anime was originally released. But it really is a top tier series and the comics are just as great.

The World Famous Nightwing

Nightwing & Batman

Batman is, weirdly enough, one of the characters I have drawn the least amount in my life. Despite loving the movies and growing up with Batman the Animated Series.
I gravitate more towards the wise cracking side kick or the characters that are a little more fun, like Nightwing.

The Darkness

I am a big fan of the Image Comics founders. Among them is the extremely talented Marc Silvestri.

He create a comic called The Darkness for his Publishing Label Top Cow.

It is the story of mob hit-man Jackie Estacado.

I have re-read it again lately and it is fantastic.
