Ready, Set, Stay

Ok so I have been working on this for the past few weeks and I am happy with it. I wanted to do an action scene just to see if I could? I enjoyed doing it but I won't lie the colouring and the BG's broke my little heart. Let me know what you guys think.

  1. Hey Griff, the few things I'll say have to do with the two front running cycles.

The first front run cycle, his body doesn't have much weight to it, the hips should he dipping up and down even just a bit.

The second one just doesn't seem as dynamic as the side run that came before it, especially as the head in the side run rotates as he runs, yet it feels static in the front run.

It's great that you're doing an established character for practice with details and inbetweening, but I still think Aqualad has a LOT of detail to focus on, his muscles and those tattoes of his must be difficult to get look right in the inbetweening process. I know you like drawing your own characters so maybe draw one in the same style, but less details on the character will give you more freedom with the animation itself, not to mention streamline the dreaded colouring process!

That's my two cents for now anyways, keep up the good work!
