I am delighted to officially release my new book Jumpsuit Johnson: Hard Charges. It is the first volume in a 3 volume arch. This book is very much a love letter to buddy cop action comedy's of the 90's. But it is set in my hometown of Carlow, Ireland. It features many friends and places where I grew up.

Man I gotta tell you. This book was so funny and really kick ass. I love all of the nods you put into it from Carlow and how very real and thoughtful the characters were. The part with the sneachta made me lol for ages. I really like Sparky as well. He felt very real and like one of my friends. Great work and I cannot wait until Volume 2 comes out. Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteThank you. This book was definitely a love letter to all of the things Bernard and I loved about growing up in Carlow and all of our movie influences of the 90's. Volume 2 will be even more action packed. Stay with us on the journey.
DeleteHey Colm,
ReplyDeleteJust received the book and I gotta say it’s hilarious. It really has a great sense of Irish humour. Well done to you and the team. Also Flat Nose Pascal is both the weirdest and most fantastic name I have ever heard. I know you said you are from Carlow, please tell me Pascal is real and so are the other characters? Can’t wait for more. Thanks.
Hi,
DeleteThank you for the kind words. I am happy to say that FNP is a real guy, although roughly exaggerated for comical value. The name actually came from a very funny friend of mine. And although she would never take the credit for it. It really is the best name ever. Keep an eye out because we will have more tales from Carlow soon.
Cheers.
Colm
